Sessions will meet weekly for 6-weeks as follows:

U14, U15, U16:            Tuesdays 5:30 pm -7:30 pm

U17 – U18:                          Tuesdays 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm

East Coast Crush VBC will be hosting volleyball training clinics this summer at the Atlantic County Institute of Technology to give the boys in our area an opportunity to sharpen their volleyball skills.  The clinics are being run by a mix of East Coast Crush Volleyball Club coaches and former Stockton Men’s Club Team coaches.  All our coaches have either coaching or playing experience at the collegiate level.   This past year, ECC added boys club travel teams for the first time and had a very successful inaugural season.   Our 18U teams won several regional tournaments and placed in others and our 16U team also did very well.  At the end of the 2024 high school season, we expect to see a number of our boys named to  state and conference all-star teams. 

The clinic will be overseen by Phil Kening, a former Stockton volleyball coach for both the Men’s and Women’s teams and the founder and Club Director for East Coast Crush South.  Phil was the founding Stockton Men’s Club Volleyball Coach from 2008 – 2019.  He guided the team to multiple top 25 rankings and was named the Men’s NCVF D2 Coach of the Year in 2019, in a year when the Ospreys finished with a #12 ranking. 

Our clinicians will consist of a cadre of current and former college coaches and ECC Club coaches, with a player-to-coach ratio of 6:1. The ECC clinic will cover all aspects of the game of volleyball with an emphasis on fundamental skills.  The techniques and skills taught in the clinic are designed to provide a strong foundation that allows young players to develop into high-level athletes as they continue to play.  For the U16 and younger age group, we expect to have a beginner net and an intermediate/advanced net so we can teach skills at the appropriate level.  The U17 and U18 sessions will assume some prior experience.  The basic individual skills to be covered include passing, serving, setting, hitting, blocking, and digging along with team defensive and offensive systems.  For more advanced players, we will be reviewing topspin jump serving, attacking different speed sets, blocking systems and advanced team concepts.  The players can expect to participate in team play at the end of each session, but the main focus will be on drills and skill development.

Space is limited, so please register as soon as possible.  Once an age division is full, we will place boys on a waiting list in case players back out before we start.  We ask that you sign up using the Google Form link below if you are fully committed to attending.  Once we have enough boys signed up, we will start sending emails to let you know if you have been accepted to the clinics and give you payment instructions.
